Clinamen

Clinamen, a collection by Stefano Tonti, has several patterns of fine lines and dots that gather into a geometric design. In Lucretius’s De rerum natura, the clinamen is the random swerve, the imperceptible deviation in the paths of atoms which, as they cross, create the infinite forms of the world. In the same way, the different patterns in this collection are made of lines of tiny dots that gather and interact with one another to outline an overall design.
