Sound-absorbing wallpaper
We print our catalogue designs on substrates that absorb part of the sound in a room and reduce reverberation.
How it works
Sound-absorbing wallpaper decorates the wall with one of our designs and absorbs some of the sound energy that reaches its surface. Reverberation in the room drops as a result.
Voices are easier to follow and there is less background noise. The decorated wall does the absorbing itself, so no panels need to be added later and the whole design stays in view.
Where to use it
We recommend it for open-plan offices, meeting rooms, restaurants and hotel lobbies, and also for home cinemas and bedrooms. In rooms that echo, the wall takes on a job that is usually left to the furniture.
Where the acoustic requirements are stricter, the wallpaper can be paired with our decorative acoustic fabrics and panels. They are printed with the catalogue designs too, so the wall and the panels can match.
Made to measure
Any catalogue design, from the R&D series or the Capsule Collection, can be printed on the sound-absorbing substrate, with size, repeat and colours adjusted to the project. We send technical data sheets and samples on request.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between sound-absorbing wallpaper and an acoustic panel?
The wallpaper covers the whole wall, so the acoustic function is part of the decoration. A panel is a separate element, placed at the points in a room where more absorption is needed. Using both often works best.
Can I choose any design from the catalogue?
Yes. All the designs in our collections can be printed on the sound-absorbing substrate, with size and colours adjusted to the wall.
Is it suitable for hotels, offices and restaurants?
Yes, that is where it performs best, because a single product decorates the wall and improves the acoustics.
Where can I find absorption data?
Technical data sheets, certifications and samples are available on request. Write to us from the contact page and tell us about the project.
