Pollomatto

The blend of rigorous, traditional texture and a “childlike” mark produces an innovative collection. The new Pollomatto decorative surfaces were designed and developed as a joint project. For the first time a drawing by a nine-year-old girl, Alice, enters the Styl’Editions catalogue, reworked digitally and conceptually by gumdesign into a collection for children’s rooms. Using a child’s mark made it possible to generate many geometric textures that recall memories and the traditional wallpapers of the twentieth century, designs that also work well in workplaces, schools and hospitality venues. The geometric designs are obtained by vectorising the black and white mark, so they can be used at any size and enlargement without losing definition, keeping a very high print quality on wallpapers, acoustic panels, rugs and MDF panels for designing and building furniture and wall boiserie.
