Lasciateci Dipingere Le Nostre Sbarre

The light of the poplar groves in summer is the amniotic fluid I swam in as a child. It was where we played, with the River Serchio flowing alongside. The light bounced and sparkled with the shade, gently stirred by a light breeze, and this dance came with the comfort of the cool air. Now and then the bright colours of our T-shirts burst quickly into view. Working from the idea “the more they cut down, the more I paint”, I have dedicated my long, still ongoing cycle of paintings to trees.
