Goccia

The Goccia collection, by Eliana Lorena, brings together geometric shapes with irregular gold outlines and bright colours. The colours mix with marks and patterns in other shades. Korean pojagi quilts have raw edges “trapped” inside a seam that is slightly thicker than a normal quilting seam. The grid of these quilts is the basic pattern behind the design, and combined with a series of dot screens and drops it becomes a system of marks. Small motifs shift through ranges of colour and changes of scale, telling stories in an abstract calligraphy.
