Alessandra Baldereschi
After studying art, she earned a master’s degree in Industrial Design at the Domus Academy in Milan. She then obtained a studio residency in Japan, where she developed ceramic tableware projects with companies in the Gifu district. On returning to Italy she began working with companies such as Swatch Bijoux, Fabbian Illuminazione, Moss NY, Dilmos gallery, De Castelli, Seletti, Mogg, Ichendorf, IVV and other brands, designing lighting, furniture and accessories. Her experimental series “Bosco”, seating and rugs made with natural leaves and moss, belongs to the Dilmos Edizioni collection. Her exhibitions include the Saint-Étienne Biennale, Inside Design Amsterdam, the Seoul Design Festival and the Moss gallery in New York. Many of Alessandra’s projects have been selected for international exhibitions such as “Milano Made in Design” in Beijing and Shanghai, the GLASS exhibition at the DesignHuis museum in Eindhoven curated by Li Edelkoort, and the Triennale Design Museum. In 2017 Alessandra was named an Ambassador of Italian Design by Triennale Milano on the occasion of Design Day. “Alessandra redesigns everyday life with her own personal stylistic signature. The world that flows from her pencil has the intangibility of dreams and memories; it recalls an age of bliss, with the hazy outlines of the world of fairy tales.” (Mariateresa Chirico)
