Armonie Di Forme Incerte

The kind of photography I love most, the one that stirs deep and lasting emotions in me, is motion blur. Perhaps it is because blur can condense the passing of time into the sense of movement held in a single frame. Or perhaps it is because movement seems to me the irrepressible longing of life itself, the visible sign of a kind of “vital aura” in the things portrayed. In the imperfect, imprecise form of a blurred image I sense a familiarity in which all our own imperfection lies. The depiction of the indefinite, with its wavering, ethereal forms and its floating sense of time, where everything is present and absent at once, creates the illusion of infinity. It is an infinity that can be portrayed and conceived. And it keeps its mystery intact.
